How does bank syncing work?

Budget Wisely uses Plaid to securely connect to your bank. Plaid is trusted by thousands of financial apps and never shares your login credentials with us.

How does AI categorization work?

When you tap "AI Categorize," our system analyzes merchant names and transaction details to automatically assign categories. It learns from your corrections over time.

Is my financial data secure?

Yes. Bank connections are handled by Plaid with bank-level encryption. Your data is stored securely and is never sold or shared with third parties.

How do I detect recurring charges?

Budget Wisely automatically identifies subscriptions and recurring payments by analyzing your transaction history. Visit the Recurring tab to see all detected charges.

Can I export my transactions?

Yes. Go to the Transactions page and tap the export button to download your transactions as a CSV file.

How do I delete my account?

Contact us at budgetwiselyapp@gmail.com and we will process your account deletion within 48 hours.

We collect only the data necessary to provide the service: your email, name, and financial transactions synced through Plaid.
Bank credentials are handled entirely by Plaid and are never stored on our servers.
Transaction data is encrypted at rest and in transit.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties.
AI categorization is processed securely and transaction data is not used to train AI models.
You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing budgetwiselyapp@gmail.com.
